Today we have some green ideas and I'm not talking ECO GREEN. We have some crafts, a fun tip from a teacher to get the kids into St. Patrick's Day and a way to spring your toes into the season. Last week we were shopping and my daughter saw the brightest purple polish, I knew I wasn't getting out of the store without that polish, no matter what I said.

Tips from a Teach - A Fun Leprechaun Activity
Use this fun-filled holiday to get your kids excited about reading and writing
This week I would like to WELCOME and introduce you to our Guest Teacher; Mrs. Kim Grekul who will be sharing tips and ideas from a teachers perspective on ways to inspire, teach and motivate kids. I am excited to have her join us and look forward to trying a few of her techniques with the kids.
Go to your local book store and pick up a St.Patty's Day story. Help build your child's imagination.
They already love Leprechauns!
My name is Kim Grekul and I'm a grade 2 teacher on Maternity leave and to get my students excited about reading and writing I would have an imaginary Leprechaun visit our classroom, that was a long lost friend of mine, he would leave notes on the board about his adventures in the school and his hidden gold (in green of course) and play fun little tricks on the children, such as hiding their shoes, tipping over their chairs, etc.
This gets them so excited!
They would look forward to coming to school every morning. They want to write notes back to their Leprechaun friend everyday.
Why not get your kids writing (and reading) at home? Especially if you're having trouble getting them excited about reading and writing, this will do the trick!
As a homework activity I would have the children and their parents build a Leprechaun trap and they would bring it and we would try and capture that little trickster and his gold. The 'Leprechaun' would leave torn bits of clothing, green sparkles, green footprints, and chocolate gold coins. What fun! Why not try this at home with your wee ones, they will love it, I promise!
Do you have a great idea, tip or thought you would like to share with our readers? We will be posting new ideas from You, so send in your thoughts.
Next Ezine we would like to know what you do to get the kids ready for EASTER.
Email Kimberly and send in a photo.

My emotions have been on high this week, I have celebrated my daughter's 3rd birthday and I attended the celebration of a wee, wee baby girl- Melodia who's was taken way too soon from the world.
The officiary was so amazing that I can not explain how he turned me from having so many questions and from feeling dismayed at "fairness." He shared ideas on how to take the lead of the parents and be sure that we are not silent about what amazing memories this child brought to the world in such a short time.
I hope some how that my dear friends will be able to take the time they need to heal and hold on to the Love they have for each other and their son and some day see that this little angel will always shine over them.
My friend said one thing that has been etched in my mind, He said he learned that everything that matters starts with "family and ends with friends", that is the strength that matters. It's the face to face friends we need to pay more attention to, share more love with, call once in a while, not the ones on social networking sites.
Please call a friend today and talk to them. If you have been in this situation, my heart and prayers goes out to you as well, I know my friends are not alone.
Thanks so much for allowing me to share these tips, ideas and my heart with you today.
