Travel back 100 years in time, from the 1960s to the 1860s. Wander through Gasoline Alley Museum to view the spectacular collection of oil and gas memorabilia, and the limited time exhibit, Vintage to Volt: A Century of Chevrolet. Once through the gates, experience what life was like 100 years ago–when Calgary experienced its first boom and first Stampede. Heritage Park’s friendly, costumed interpreters bring Western Canada’s distinctive history to life on the streets and in the homes and shops of our 1910 town. Explore the far corners of the Park with the 100 Years of History Scavenger Hunt, follow our roving street performers throughout the Park or take a break in the Canmore Opera House and enjoy a thirty-minute musical melodrama about the first Stampede, performed each weekend. Tour the Park on an authentic thundering steam train or on a horse-drawn wagon ride. Visit the 1880s Settlement and stop by Drew’s Saloon for a drink and a game of cards. Experience the excitement of an antique midway and have a blast exploring 180 exhibits and 100 years of history!
